Kangana Ranaut Chalo Sansad Protest became a major talking point after BJP MPs Kangana Ranaut and Ravi Kishan shared their views on the student demonstrations that unfolded in Delhi during the ‘Chalo Sansad’ movement over the alleged NEET paper leak.
The protest, organised by student groups demanding accountability in the alleged examination paper leak, drew thousands of participants to the national capital on July 20. As demonstrators attempted to move towards Parliament, clashes broke out with security personnel, resulting in injuries to both protesters and police officials.
Speaking after attending the NDA parliamentary party’s ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting in New Delhi, actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut said the situation inside Parliament had become tense as news of the approaching crowd reached lawmakers.
According to Kangana, Members of Parliament were concerned about the possibility of protesters breaching security arrangements. She credited Delhi Police for preventing the situation from escalating further and for ensuring that those inside the Parliament complex remained safe. She also alleged that certain coaching institutes were influencing students and called for action against those responsible if such claims are established.
Fellow BJP MP Ravi Kishan focused his remarks on the alleged NEET paper leak, stating that those accused of manipulating the examination process should face the strictest legal punishment. He said strong action would send a clear message that tampering with competitive examinations and the future of students would not be tolerated.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reported remarks during the parliamentary gathering, Ravi Kishan said the government remains committed to protecting students’ interests and ensuring that young people are not misled during such situations.

Protest Turns Violent in Delhi
The ‘Chalo Sansad’ march began at Jantar Mantar, where thousands of students and youth assembled to demand transparency and accountability in the NEET paper leak investigation. As participants moved towards Parliament, confrontations broke out after police attempted to stop the procession.
Officials said over 118 police personnel sustained injuries during the clashes. Reports also indicated that around 60 protesters were injured. Authorities later brought the situation under control, while investigations into the incidents and related cases continued.

The demonstrations also received support from several members of the film industry. Actors including Shabana Azmi and Prakash Raj participated in protest events held in Delhi and Mumbai.
Meanwhile, actors Vijay Varma, Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh and several others reacted on social media after videos showing confrontations between protesters and police circulated online. Many expressed concern over the treatment of students and called for a fair resolution of the issue.
