Badshah and Isha Rikhi confirm separation
In their joint statement, the couple said they had reached the decision together after considering their relationship privately. They stressed that their separation was mutual and asked the public to give them space during the transition.
They also described the statement as their only public comment on the matter, signalling that they do not plan to provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the divorce.
The decision brings an end to a relationship that had largely remained away from the spotlight despite the public interest surrounding the two entertainers.
Marriage was kept largely private
Badshah and Isha Rikhi reportedly dated for nearly four years before getting married. Details about their wedding remained private, with reports about the ceremony emerging in March 2026.
Isha’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, had shared photographs from what was described as an intimate wedding ceremony, bringing widespread attention to the relationship.
Isha later confirmed that she was married to Badshah during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session in June. Even after the confirmation, the couple continued to keep most aspects of their married life private.
That low-key approach meant there were few public glimpses into their relationship, making the subsequent speculation about their marriage particularly noticeable.
Isha Rikhi’s social media posts sparked questions
Speculation about trouble in the marriage intensified in July after Isha shared a series of emotional posts on social media.
On July 26, she uploaded a montage featuring photographs and videos with Badshah and wrote about storms, lessons and hope. The post was followed by another message in which she spoke about personal struggles, fear and choosing courage over silence.
The wording of the post led to widespread discussion about whether it was connected to difficulties in her marriage. However, at the time, neither Isha nor Badshah publicly confirmed that the posts were related to their relationship.
Posts shared by Isha’s mother around the same period, including references to karma, also attracted attention online. Despite the speculation, the couple did not comment on the rumours until their separation statement on August 31.
It is important to note that the couple’s latest statement does not provide any specific reason for their decision to part ways.
Badshah’s second marriage ends in divorce
The separation marks another major chapter in Badshah’s personal life.
The rapper was previously married to Jasmine Masih. The two married in 2012 and welcomed their daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, in January 2017.
Badshah and Jasmine later separated, with their divorce finalised in 2020. Following the separation, Jasmine moved to London with their daughter. The former couple have continued to co-parent Jessemy.
Badshah has generally kept his family life away from the intense public attention surrounding his music career.
Isha Rikhi linked to Bigg Boss 20 reports
The divorce announcement also comes at a time when Isha Rikhi’s name has been linked to the upcoming season of Bigg Boss 20.
Reports have suggested that the actor has been approached for the reality show, which is expected to be hosted by Salman Khan. However, there has been no official confirmation from Isha or the show’s makers regarding her participation.
Until an official announcement is made, her reported association with the programme remains unconfirmed.

Badshah releases Marathi hip-hop track ‘Chimna’
Interestingly, Badshah also released his first Marathi hip-hop track, Chimna, on August 31, the same day the separation statement was issued.
The song features singer Divya Kumar and Marathi folk artist Nagesh Morwekar, while Hiten has produced the music. Marathi actor Neha Khan also appears in the music video.
Badshah described the song as his tribute to Maharashtra and its creative culture. He said regional music offers enormous creative potential and expressed gratitude towards his Maharashtrian fans.
The release highlights another side of the rapper’s ongoing musical work as he continues to explore regional sounds alongside mainstream Hindi music.
For now, Badshah and Isha Rikhi have chosen to draw a clear boundary around their personal lives. Their joint statement indicates that they want the focus to remain on their separate paths rather than the reasons behind the breakup. With both maintaining active careers in entertainment, their professional projects are likely to remain the primary focus in the months ahead.
