Police investigation now underway
The incident has raised questions about what happened between the time Avani left home and when she was found dead the following morning. Investigators are expected to reconstruct the sequence of events using statements from family members, CCTV footage, forensic evidence and the post-mortem findings.
At present, police have not publicly established whether the death was accidental, self-inflicted or the result of any criminal act. Any such conclusion will depend on the evidence gathered during the investigation.
For the family, the immediate priority remains understanding how a missing-person case involving a young child ended in tragedy. The post-mortem report and ongoing police inquiry are likely to play a key role in determining what happened.
Authorities are expected to provide further information as the investigation progresses and more evidence becomes available.
