Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Two Arrested, Juvenile Detained in Kota

Two men have been arrested and a juvenile detained in Rajasthan’s Kota in the Tiger Shroff firing case, as police intensify their investigation into the shooting at the Bollywood actor’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening.
The arrests were made by a joint team of the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Kota City Police following inputs from Mumbai Police. The suspects were reportedly travelling by train when officers tracked them down in the Railway Colony area near Kota railway station.
The case has attracted considerable attention because the attack allegedly involved multiple gunshots at the actor’s vehicle and was followed by a claim of responsibility from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police are now working to establish the roles of the arrested suspects and determine whether others were involved in planning or executing the attack.
According to the available details, the suspects include Rehan, 18, from Haryana; Hrithik Kumar, 22, who was living in Mumbai and reportedly worked as a Rapido rider; and a 17-year-old boy from Haryana. The juvenile is being dealt with under the applicable procedures for children in conflict with the law.
The suspects reportedly reached Kota aboard the Pune–Jaipur Superfast Express at around 10.15 am. Police teams had been searching for those involved in the shooting across multiple locations, with the investigation also extending beyond Maharashtra.

How the shooting unfolded in Mumbai
The incident took place at around 7 pm on Sunday as Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club in Juhu, Mumbai, after playing a match. According to police, unidentified assailants fired several rounds at his BMW sedan.
The actor escaped direct gunshot injuries, but the incident left people inside and around the vehicle shaken. His driver, identified as Firdaus, was among those reported injured. An autorickshaw driver, identified as Chauhan, was also reported to have sustained injuries.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the actor at his residence following the incident. He said Shroff had suffered injuries to his hand from gunpowder and broken glass. Shinde also met the actor’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, and assured the family of the state government’s support.
The shooting has raised questions about the safety of public figures and the possibility that the attackers had prior knowledge of the actor’s movements. Investigators suspect the accused may have conducted reconnaissance of the area and been aware of his regular Sunday visits to the football ground. This aspect remains subject to police investigation.
CCTV footage and abandoned motorcycle provide clues
Investigators are examining CCTV footage that reportedly captured the attack. The footage is said to show one suspect firing multiple shots, while another appears to attempt to fire a weapon. A third person can be seen waiting on a motorcycle, allegedly positioned to help the others escape.
According to preliminary information, the suspects fled the scene and abandoned the motorcycle near Andheri railway station before continuing their journey by train. Police are examining the vehicle’s registration, number plate, chassis and engine details to establish its history and identify possible links to the accused.
Investigators are also reconstructing the suspects’ movements after the shooting. Reports suggest they travelled through parts of Mumbai before attempting to evade police by heading towards other locations. The exact sequence of their movements and the involvement of any additional individuals will need to be established through evidence.
Mumbai Police initially registered the case at Juhu Police Station before transferring it to the Mumbai Crime Branch. An attempt-to-murder case has been registered under Section 109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 3(5) concerning acts carried out by several people in furtherance of a common intention and relevant provisions of the Arms Act.
The Crime Branch is expected to examine forensic evidence, CCTV recordings, communications and other material to determine the extent of each suspect’s involvement.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang claim under investigation
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting and issued fresh threats against people associated with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Investigators will need to establish the credibility of the claim and determine whether the attack was carried out at the gang’s direction.
The gang’s hostility towards Salman Khan is linked to the blackbuck poaching case dating back to the late 1990s. The Bishnoi community regards the blackbuck as sacred. Khan was convicted by a trial court in the case before being acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court.
Following the firing at Shroff’s car, security was tightened outside Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Police personnel and vehicles were deployed outside the building as a precaution.
The reported threats have renewed concerns about the potential use of criminal intimidation to influence or target people connected to the film industry. However, a gang’s claim of responsibility does not, by itself, establish who ordered or carried out an attack; investigators must corroborate the claim with evidence.

Maharashtra government promises strict action
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condemned the attack and described the shooters as cowardly individuals, saying attempts to operate from the shadows would be thwarted.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also called the incident serious and warned that no gang or individual would be allowed to revive gang-related violence in Mumbai. He assured the actor and his family that the authorities would take strict action against those responsible.
The police investigation is now focused on establishing the complete chain of events, including who allegedly arranged the attack, how the suspects obtained information about Shroff’s movements and whether the shooting was connected to the threats directed at Salman Khan.
The arrests in Kota mark a significant development in the case, but the investigation is far from over. Police will need to verify the suspects’ individual roles, examine the alleged gang connection and identify any further participants before the full picture of the attack becomes clear.
