Nalasopara Crime Shocker: Missing Man Vijay Chavan Found Buried Under House Floor, Wife and Lover Vanish

Nalasopara Crime Shocker: What looked like a quiet home in Nalasopara East held a dark secret beneath its floor tiles—one that would leave even seasoned investigators shaken. A man, missing for 15 days, was found buried inside his own home, and the main suspects? His wife and her alleged lover—both now missing.

A Foul Smell and Uneven Tiles Uncover the Horror

It started like any other Monday morning, except for the nagging worry of Vijay Chavan’s brothers. The 35-year-old daily wage labourer had been missing from his Nalasopara East home in the Gadgapada area of Palghar district for over two weeks.

When his brothers visited the house, they noticed something strange—some tiles on the floor looked newly laid, and an unpleasant smell hung in the air. Their suspicion turned into horror when they decided to dig up the floor. Beneath the mismatched tiles, they found a vest buried in the dirt—and a stench that confirmed their worst fear.

They immediately alerted the police.

Police Discover a Chilling Scene

Pelhar Police rushed to the scene and started digging the area. As the tiles and soil were removed, the decomposed body of Vijay Chavan was uncovered. The discovery shocked the entire neighborhood, not just for its brutality, but for how closely it resembled scenes from the movie Drishyam—where a body was hidden beneath a house.

Officers believe that Vijay was killed by his 28-year-old wife, Komal Chavan, and her alleged lover Monu, a 20-year-old neighbor. Both are missing since just before the body was discovered.

Not Just a Disappearance — A Sinister Plot

Komal had initially told Vijay’s family that he had gone out for work. But as days passed and his phone remained unreachable, suspicions grew. Komal’s sudden disappearance with Monu only added fuel to the theory that they had plotted the murder together.

The couple lived with their three-year-old daughter in the Rashid Compound, Om Sai Welfare Society area of Dhaniv Baug, Nalasopara East. As per police reports, Komal and Monu had allegedly been in a romantic relationship for months—one that may have led them to commit this gruesome act.

The Discovery and Delayed Excavation

After the vest and stench were found, police called in the local tehsildar for official supervision before digging further. Due to his engagement at another event in Palghar, the digging didn’t begin until 5 PM. By 6 PM, Vijay’s body was finally recovered and sent for post-mortem.

Investigators believe there might be a third accomplice involved in the murder, possibly someone who helped with the burial. A manhunt is underway to find Komal, Monu, and this unidentified third person.

Questions Still Unanswered

What exactly led to the murder? How was it carried out? Was it premeditated? These are some of the questions investigators are still trying to answer. For now, the spotlight remains on the chilling crime that has shaken the quiet locality of Nalasopara.

This Nalasopara Crime Shocker has not only horrified locals but also sparked comparisons to Bollywood thrillers—except this time, the horror was real.
