BSNL Re 1 Freedom Offer Launched With Unlimited Calls and 4G Data for New Users

BSNL Re 1 Freedom Offer is now live, giving new users access to unlimited voice calls, daily 2GB of 4G internet, and 100 SMS per day—just for Re 1. This limited-time plan has been launched in celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day and is available until August 31, 2025.
State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduced the plan under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign, aiming to boost its user base by allowing first-time users to experience its newly deployed indigenous 4G network.

What You Get in the BSNL Re 1 Freedom Plan
The Re 1 recharge offer is designed for new customers and comes with the following benefits:
- Unlimited local and STD voice calls
- 2GB of high-speed 4G data per day (speed drops to 40kbps post daily limit)

Who Can Avail This Plan?
The offer is exclusively for new BSNL subscribers. Existing customers are not eligible. To get the plan, users need to visit their nearest BSNL retailer or a Common Service Centre (CSC). A new 4G SIM card will be issued on the spot, and the Freedom Offer will be activated.
At this time, BSNL has not confirmed if the Re 1 Freedom Offer will be made available through SIM card home delivery services.
Why This Offer Matters
This move comes as BSNL accelerates its nationwide 4G rollout, developed under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The plan not only offers massive value at a near-zero cost but also promotes the use of a fully indigenous telecom infrastructure.
BSNL CMD A. Robert J. Ravi stated, “Our ‘Freedom Plan’ gives every Indian a chance to test and experience this indigenous network for 30 days—free of cost—and we are confident they will see the BSNL difference.”
Push to Expand BSNL’s Reach
This launch aligns with the broader government vision of strengthening public telecom services. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently urged BSNL to aggressively grow its mobile, enterprise, and broadband user base over the coming year.
For users thinking of switching networks, this could be the perfect time to try out BSNL’s services at almost no cost.
