Who Can Apply?

- Be a permanent resident of India.
- Meet the eligibility requirements for appointment as an LIC insurance agent.
- Clear the pre-recruitment examination prescribed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Government employees working in Central Government, State Government departments or Public Sector Undertakings are not eligible under the scheme.

Monthly Stipend Under the Scheme
Women selected as Bima Sakhis are eligible for monthly financial support during the three-year training period, provided they achieve the required business performance targets.
The stipend structure is:

Performance Requirements
To continue receiving the monthly stipend, participants must meet specified monthly targets related to:
- Number of insurance policies sold.
- First-year commission earned.
- Active participation during the stipend period.
LIC has clarified that the stipend is payable only when the prescribed monthly performance conditions are fulfilled. Women who remain inactive during any month may not receive the stipend for that period.
Career Growth Beyond Three Years

After completing the three-year stipend period, participants continue working as regular LIC agents and can earn commissions under LIC’s existing agency rules.
